Mapping can be not only about mapping the object, but also mapping the subject and issues behind the object.

The open street map can be used for other purposes, such as humanitarian/crisis mapping, acessibility maps.

Open street map shows that knowlege is power in the hands of the community.


GPS allows individuals to know where they are on the face of the earth to at least one meter precision.
