TIME ART: After Effects Workshop
So, on Friday we did our first introductory lesson in Adobe After Effects CS6...
Now, i have to note here that i have been using After Effects since CS3 back in 2008 when i first got my hand on it. By doing so i know quite a few things about the software, and a few techniques.
However, the "back to basics" lesson wasn't too bad. For example i learned that there was an "Extractor" tool. For years and years i was using the "Gradient Wipe" Effect to do the same job.
During this workshop we managed to complete a composite of live action footage, color filters and blended color solids to create a heavily stylized look:
We were also asked to view tutorials from lynda.com . Although i have pre-existing knowlege, i might run through some of the tutorials just in case i've missed something over the years... ;)
P.S. I love some of the advanced tutorials that lynda.com has on AE, might be posting my impressions soon...
