PROFESSIONAL TOOLKIT: First Group Meeting and Ideas
After meeting in our group we decided that we wanted to make a campaign film about consumerism, and how it has detracted from regular socializing.
Building off of Rob's main message, and Lucy's set idea we came up with this:
Also we all noticed that our set may look different than Group B's set, but we intend to communicate with them so that we build a multi-purpose set, that is only different in set dressings... Therefore we dress it to look like a living room, and then Group B re-dress it to look like a prison cell.
Lastly we created a facebook group to communicate with everyone.
Building off of Rob's main message, and Lucy's set idea we came up with this:
A person in a blank living room seems to be immersed in watching the TV. This living rooms seems
to lack personal belongings, other than a sofa, a table full of dirty dishes, and a TV. The TV is
advertising the latest version of a new smartphone. The person, zoned out, almost robotically picks
up his laptop and orders the new phone. He then proceeds to pick up his current phone seemingly
in perfect working order and condition, and posts about his new puchase on facebook, receiving
positive responses from his so called friends, and then continues to throw the phone it in to a big
pile of other phones.
Alternate Endings:
1) At the end we have a close up of the person, he seems emotionless at first but then he slowly
starts smiling manicly
2) The doorbell rings, someone shouts “delivery”, the person smiles
