REFLECTIONS: Film Screening #3 Notes
"The Five Obstructions" by Jørgen Leth and Lard Von trier
Overall, i enjoyed this documentary, and it was really interesting to see how the obstructions affected each film. In the end, it was interesting to see how Jørgen managed to overcome the obstructions, and how he managed to turn the cards on Lard, until probably the very end, where he was asked to only be credited as the director, and to only read a voiceover that was written by Lard (even though Lard admitted through the voice over he wrote that it was therapy for him, not Jørgen)
The style of the documentary was very normal, and it fitted the piece. I liked how the behind the scenes did not show too much of the actual filming, so that when we as the viewer, would see the film for the first time, we would be as surprised as Lard was.
