MAPS & JOURNEYS: Common Interests...
So, as the group tutorials were approaching, i had discussed my initial interactivity tests with Lauren, and after listening to what Lauren, Josh and Julia we're thinking of doing, it seemed like i could help them, as interactivity was one of the main parts of their project, and they had not found a technical solution yet.
After agreeing to be part of their team i was quickly briefed on the project and interpreted the brief as following:
After agreeing to be part of their team i was quickly briefed on the project and interpreted the brief as following:
- The project is about the mapping of the human brain, and on how each action triggers something that is processed by the brain.
- It could also be interpreted as the journey that a signal takes to become a perceivable action. This could also be related to the interactivity part of the project as a signal from an input device will travel though a processor to create a visual output.
- The user's interactions in the space will drive animations that will be projected.
The details of the project have not been fully generated, but the base idea is there and there is plenty of room for research. One thing that popped up is the illustration of the electrical signals though animations that would react to the outside environment. This is where i plan to continue my research on Quartz Composer, as i mentioned in a previous post.
Lastly, i have the same project management system that i mentioned in the professional toolkit group meeting #2 post, to help us keep track of tasks.
